I provide exclusive and personalized content development support to the busy and influential communicator, faith leader, or cultural influencer. Please review the list of services below. If there is anyway I can be of assistance to you, please click the button below to tell me more about you and your book. I will personally follow up with you to begin developing a content services plan for your book that will
Capture hearts and transform lives
Get the attention of agents and editors
Meet the standards of your current publisher
Provide an additional stream of income for your ministry, business, or other organization

Over the course of several weeks and up to one year, I will walk with you through your writing process, helping you to produce a book that will inspire and motivate your readers to live their best lives.
I will work with you or your staff and assess your most compelling messages and topics to develop them into a clear, concise, and compelling book concept—a summary, outline, and title and subtitle ideas. Then I will set you loose to begin writing.
During the writing process, we will connect once or twice a month to ensure you are staying on track. Together, we will overcome common roadblocks to book writing, such as
Confusion with where to start, difficulty getting organized and developing an outline
Writer’s block, discouragement, and lack of accountability
Too many or too little ideas or content
Beginning marketing and platform-building tips
How to target the right audience, write to their felt needs, and an impact
Finding the right editor: once you’ve completed the writing coaching process, I will be there to provide a substantive/content edit for your book
Let’s work together to develop a clear, concise, and compelling book; unlock that finisher’s spirit; and get your message into the hands of the people who need it most!
This service is ideal for the gifted and in-demand leader, who wants to write their book themselves but needs help developing and writing an outstanding concept.
Books I’ve written as other people have charted on ECPA and CBA best-seller lists, have sold hundreds of thousands of copies around world, and have been translated into many languages and dialects.
Working directly with you or your staff, I will apply this same skill, knowledge, and experience to take your burning ideas and turn them into a compelling book manuscript ready for the next step in your publishing process. I work from
Transcripts from interviews, speaking events, sermons, or
Written lesson plans or workshop notes/outlines
Select journal entries and blog posts
Social media posts and live broadcasts
And the like
You are the author; I am your scribe.
This service is ideal for the gifted and in-demand leader, who may not have bandwidth to write for themselves but wants an outstanding manuscript.
The next step after the manuscript has been written, the content or substantive edit focuses on the big picture, the overall purpose and promise of the book by clarifying ambiguities, correcting conceptual problems, and maintaining the tone of the manuscript. A content edit:
Identifies problems with overall clarity or accuracy
Evaluates the order in which the text is presented and recommends ways to reorganize
Identifies gaps in content
Analyzes sentences for structure/syntax
Suggests or provides clearer explanations, anecdotes, analogies, or illustrations
Proposes additions or deletions of headings
Seeks to achieve clarity of subject, logic, and consistency
Completed in six to twelve weeks, I, or an esteemed member of my freelance editorial team, will provide this service to you.
So you’ve written a book—kind of. You have something, ahem, that you poured over as much as you could and it is just not feeling as sharp as you hoped it would. You know the diamond is hidden in the rough there somewhere, but you just aren’t able to mine it. Book doctoring may be just what you need.
I will take your “manuscript,” evaluate it, develop a new outline and direction for it, and pulling from my fifteen years of industry knowledge, will give it the right edge it needs to stand out among other books in its category. Then, upon your approval and as you supply the content based on my direction, I will take to the task of doing all the reorganizing based on the plans we’ve set together to reshape, refocus, lengthen, or reduce your completed manuscript.
Exclusively for my writing, one-on-one coaching, book doctoring, and editorial clients whom I have worked with directly, my White-Glove Publishing Package is available to you to put the final shine on your book project. I will assign the manuscript we’ve finished together to my award-winning design team. I will personally see to it that your book meets the industry standard by providing you with the following:
Custom interior design (also called typesetting)
Ebook file conversion for Kindle, Kobo, Nook, and others
Proofreading your final, printer-ready PDF
High-end custom cover design with at least three front cover comps to choose from
Back cover copy and title/subtitle suggestions
2 ISBNs (one for print and one for ebook)
Final, high-res, printer-ready files ready to upload
The cost for my White-Glove Publishing Package is $3,750.
If you choose, I can broker printing services on your behalf. I will
Help you set up an IngramSpark account
Upload your interior, cover, and ebook files to IngramSpark for printing and distribution
Troubleshoot any initial uploading issues
Assist you with placing your first order
Release control to you so that you can manage your own inventory, royalty statements, and shipping options
The cost for my assistance in this process is free, however, you are responsible for IngramSpark’s one-time title set-up fee of $49 and any number of copies of your book you wish to print.
Your print book will “automatically made available to more than tens of thousands of retailers, libraries, schools, e-commerce companies, and other channel partners, including Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Chapters/Indigo (Canada), and other well-known book retailers and wholesalers across North America” and to outlets in other English-speaking countries such as United Kingdom/Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.
Your ebook will be available through “the 25+ retailers”—such as Amazon Kindle, Apple iBooks, Kobo, and Barnes & Noble Nook—“who provide the most value to independent publishers.”
Your royalty payments and inventory will be managed directly through IngramSpark. They will print and ship on demand book purchases made through online retailers. They will then disburse your author/publisher compensation 90 days after the end of the month in which sales occur. The royalty rate is determined by several factors—book specifications, price, wholesale discounts, and the market in which it is sold.
You will have to manage your own inventory if you wish to have your book available for sale on your website or at events. IngramSpark will ship your book to you almost anywhere in the world, and they have great expedited printing and shipping options in case you have an event pop up with little advance notice.
Using my fifteen-plus years in the publishing industry as an anchor, I support well-established authors and help them find their place in the market. Offering direct publishing career guidance, I serve as a literary agent who will work toward securing the best and most profitable deals for my authors. Capturing and honing that “it” book concept, assisting with the development of an outstanding book proposal, presenting and placing my authors with the right publishers, negotiating contracts, and liaising between the author and their publisher for the life of the relationship are how I serve my authors best.
At this time, I am actively acquiring adult Christian nonfiction in the following categories: Christian living, spiritual growth, personal growth, women’s issues, prayer, faith, select Spirit-filled/charismatic topics, and select topics on race and diversity. I will also consider some memoir, some devotionals; some children’s books—picture, MG, or YA—Christian or mainstream; some fiction (contemporary, suspense, crime, mystery, thriller, technothriller, literary); some marriage and family; and some topics in natural and mental health and wellness.
Authors must have a well-honed concept and well-established or actively growing platform.
Bible studies or personal testimonies, poetry, horror, romance, erotica, urban/street lit, church drama, sci-fi, speculative, fantasy
If your book fits within these categories and you would like to be considered for representation, please click the “Submit a Query” button below and fill in the Request for Representation form. Once you’ve sent in your information, please allow eight weeks for review. If I find I am able to find a home for you and your book, I will be in touch within those eight weeks to request 1-3 sample chapters.
Please note that I only accept digital submissions via email or the Request for Representation form accessible via the “Submit a Query” button below. No phone calls, please.
If you have not heard from me after twelve weeks, please know that I am not able to represent you at this time.
I wish you all the best in finding the right representation and publishing home for your book.
